Delete your account and data

Two kinds of data, two ways to delete — and none of it needs a reason.

Rules and scan history on your phone

By default Skop keeps your criteria and your history on your phone only. Nothing about them is held anywhere else. Deleting the app from your phone deletes them; there's nothing further to request.

A synced account — optional sign-in

If you signed in to sync your rules across devices, Skop holds a copy for that purpose. Delete it in the app:

  1. 1Open Skop and go to Settings.
  2. 2Choose "Delete account & data".
  3. 3Confirm. Your synced rules, scan history, consents and the account itself are removed at once — a hard delete, not a hidden flag.

Without the app

If you no longer have Skop installed, request the deletion by email — from the address you signed in with, so we can be sure it's you.

Email a deletion request

We delete the same data, confirm to you by email, and keep no record of the request beyond that confirmation. Please allow up to 30 days.

What is deleted, and what isn't

Deleted

  • Synced criteria sets and scan history
  • Consent records
  • The account itself

Not affected — not held by Skop

  • Purchase and subscription records, which stay with Apple or Google under their terms
  • Product data you contributed by photographing labels: it describes a product, not you, and stays in the open database under its licence
  • Anything on your phone — that is yours to keep or clear
